Karbon - June Update

Karbon's latest product release focuses on helping accounting firms automate repetitive processes, improve collaboration and make better use of AI across their practice. The update introduces new engagement renewal automation, AI-powered period close improvements, expanded integrations and enhancements to billing, analytics and the client portal.

One of the biggest additions is automated engagement renewals. Firms can now set engagements to renew automatically, generate pre-filled renewal drafts, automatically reconnect recurring work and reduce the manual effort involved in managing ongoing client agreements. Billing workflows have also been streamlined with faster invoice approvals, automatic resolution of common sync issues with Xero and QuickBooks Online, and new invoice status filters.

AI also plays a bigger role in period close. Firms can describe a validation check in plain English and have AI generate the rule automatically, while new compliance checks help identify vendors that require W-9 documentation before year end.

Other enhancements include notification badges throughout the client portal, custom field reporting within Karbon Analytics, a new Gusto payroll integration, additional integrations with RC Reports and Tallyfor, and an updated interface designed to simplify navigation.
